Meet Jillian Balow
Jillian Balow is a fifth-generation Wyomingite, mom, educator, and conservative leader who fights for families, local control, and the Wyoming way of life.
Raised in Gillette, Jillian grew up in a community powered by energy, agriculture, and hard work. From an early age, she saw firsthand how strong schools, good jobs, and responsible resource development create opportunity for families and communities. Those values shaped her lifelong commitment to education, public service, and conservative principles.
Jillian is a conservative problem-solver who believes in keeping America First, protecting Wyoming energy jobs, making Wyoming more affordable, safeguarding our military assets and public lands, and defending the rights and freedoms of parents, students, and all Wyomingites. She stands with President Donald Trump, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman, Senator John Barrasso, and Senator Cynthia Lummis in fighting back against Washington overreach and one-size-fits-all mandates that don’t work for Wyoming.
Jillian served seven years as Wyoming’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction, leading with a simple belief: parents know their children best. During her tenure, she worked to strengthen academic standards, expand school choice, and ensure parents instead of bureaucrats had a meaningful voice in their children’s education. Her leadership emphasized accountability, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and preparing students for real-world success.
In 2022, Jillian was called to the front lines of the national fight for parental rights in education. She joined Governor Glenn Youngkin’s administration in Virginia, serving as the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, where she pushed back against left-wing ideology in classrooms, restored high expectations for students, empowered parents, and expanded education options.
Whether the issue is education, affordability, jobs, or energy, Jillian understands that Wyoming is unique and that Wyoming needs a lone member of Congress who will stand up to Washington, not bow to it.
As a mom, wife, and Wyomingite, Jillian understands the importance of rural communities and passing our values on to the next generation. She is an avid hunter and fisherman, a proud defender of the Second Amendment, and a strong supporter of Wyoming’s military members and veterans.
Her life and service reflect a deep commitment to family, faith, personal responsibility, and keeping Wyoming strong for generations to come.
